When life gives you lemons

People have been talking about this old remedy over the years, still so simple but responsible for so many positive effects on the body; lemon, honey and some warm water. Believe it or not consuming this beverage first thing in the morning on an empty stomach helps not only to lose weight but also it can help you stay fit and healthy and aids the skin the hair and the body in general.

 

This “cocktail” when consumed in the morning can stimulate the digestive system and aid the bowel movements.  It also helps in the digestive process. Lemons help your liver to produce more bile, so it can break down complex food better and use the necessary components. Honey with its antibacterial properties can protect you from any infections that you may have. It also helps the production of mucus in the stomach to clean the toxins. It makes you shine with health and beauty.

 

This mixture is an effective natural way to cleanse the colon, allowing it to function better by helping your body absorb nutrients, get rid of toxins, stay adequately hydrated and keep bloating at bay. In addition, it helps cleanse the lymphatic system.

 

Experts suggest that lack of water and essential fluids in the lymphatic system can make you feel sluggish, fatigued, lead to constipation, disturbed sleep, high or low blood pressure, stress and an all-around lack in mental function. The benefit of drinking this mixture early in the morning is that it gives your mood a boost and helps hydrate the entire system. Apart from that it can give a boost to your energy levels and improve your mood.  

 

Now that you read some of the benefits of this simple but miraculous potion let me share with you the recipe:

 

1 glass of warm water

½ lemon juice (squeeze a fresh lemon if possible)

1-teaspoon honey

 

Note: avoid having tea or coffee at least 30 minutes after you had the mix.
